Thanksgiving Menu Ideas

It's always fun and a little nerve wracking at the time same time trying to figure out the perfect Thanksgiving Menu. It's not a normal menu, but menu with lots of great expectations. A menu full of tradition and hopefully with your own personal touch. Also, are you cooking the entire meal or is it pot luck. If it's pot luck, make sure you coordinate who is to bring what dish, so that you don't have a meal of green bean casseroles. Here's my normal, traditional meal:
Appetizer: Cheeseball & Spinach Dip
Main Dish: Turkey & Dressing (Cornbread) with Jellied Cranberry
SIDES: Homemade Maccaroni & Cheese, Squash Casserole, Sweet Potato Casserole with Pecan Topping, Broccoli Casserole, Skillet Corn, Mashed Potatoes, 7 Layer Salad
DESERTS: You gotta have Pumpkin Pie, but it never gets eaten. I like to make a pumpkin pie with a cream cheese layer drizzled with maple syrup. You gotta have Pecan Pie too and something chocolate like - Chocolate Chip Cake
Now you're ready to lay on the couch and feel miserably full the rest of the day.......until that evening when the left overs start screaming for you from the kitchen.
